My Life, Surrounded By Video Games

I still remember the days of playing games on my computer in my family's library. (The library was just an extra room where we had some books, the computer and once in a while we let the gerbils run around in it.) The first game I remember playing was called "Moebius: The Orb of Celestial Harmony". The game was awesome! This was back when the floppy disks were actually floppy. You got to go exploring, fight ninjas, and get mauled by tigers. Damn, those tigers. I never was able to get very far in the game, but I loved it anyways.

When my family upgraded to Windows 95, I was introduced to Hover, Treasure Mountain!, Reader Rabbit, Treasure MathStorm!. These games made learning fun (minus Hover, no learning just fun,) and I wanted to play them all the time. Over the years I moved to other games that have made a big impact in my life like; Huygen's Disclosure, Space Pirates, Myst, Grim Fandango, Donkey Kong 64, .hack series, Shadow of the Colossus, Legend of Zelda, so on and so forth. This infatuation still continues to this day, with some more recent games.

Today, my life revolves around video games. I worked at a video game store, I go to school for video game design, I'm helping make games at my school and I play video games in my spare time. Sooner or later I'm sure I'm going to end up in a video game, just like the movie Tron. It's only a matter of time.
